The Story of Kindr

Yorkshire mother, Kate Thompson established The Kindr Company during the pandemic in response to her daughters sensitive skin and subsequent reaction to highly toxic, alcohol sanitisers. 

She wanted to create a better solution to sanitiser than what was currently available and having spoken with other parents and sensitive skin sufferers she knew she wasn’t alone.

During her research it became apparent people wanted something that didn’t dry out the skin, that was safe for children, was scentless so it couldn’t be tasted if used immediately before eating and was more eco-friendly then what was currently available on the market.

Working with some very clever, UK chemical engineers, the solution was developed to be compliant to BS EN 1500 – the gold standard of hand sanitisers. Along with achieving a 99.999% effective kill rate against germs and bacteria, independent testing showed it was rehydrating and gentle on all skin types, including eczema prone and sensitive skin.

With the huge amount of landfill being created due to the pandemic, Kate also wanted to develop something sustainable and eco-friendly which is why all dispensers are refillable.

And so the journey continues with the launch of Biodegradable, Sensitive Baby Wipes in 2023. Again working with a UK manufacturer, the wipes have been designed fragrance free with 99% pure water use on even the most delicate and sensitive skin.

Accreditations 

Kindr products have been tested, certified and added to the Global register for PETA, cruelty free and vegan accredited products. 

Kindr sanitisers have been approved by Safer Space, recognised as the highest standard of sanitisation. 

The company and the products have been nominated and shortlisted for several awards and selected as the Editors Choice in the Beauty Shortlist Awards 2023.

Currently on the shortlist for the Made for Mums Awards 2024.
